Panda = Machine Learning

As an SEO consultant, I have been asked about the Panda Update and what it really is and here is a quick answer.
Ever-since Google has tolled out the Panda update last February, many SEO experts have tried to figure it out. And you see many SEO blogs tend to explain it and put more focus on unique content, quality content, better links , etc. While some of these maybe true, as I have myself said in this blog many times, Panda Update seems to be much more than all these. In an earlier post I embedded a video from SEOMoz White Board Friday that claimed Panda was much more than just original content.

The video claimed that Panda was about machine learning. That Google’s Panda update is really a new way to rank websites and content. It is based on Machine learning and ranking content, really based on how users react to a website or its content.
